Washable Reusable Air Filter Starter Kit (1 filter + 1 frame)

After a year of use, High hopes, falls short. Your results may vary.

The good:
Easy assembly, solid filter material, easy washing, good fit, nice reminder of which direction to put the filter in with the sewed label on the filter, and the reminder magnet was a nice touch. Considering this is sewn material stretched over a frame, it’s quite durable and survives the washing machine easily. No seams frayed, no rips. A quality product.

The not so good:
My home appeared more dusty than when using conventional filters. Compared to replaceable filters, I didn’t notice any dust/dirt on the Airthreads filter. If I took a conventional filter outside and shook it, there was noticeable dust and the filter looked dirty. Taking the Airthreads filter outside and shaking it off, there never was dust/dirt. The filter never even looked like it needed cleaning. I tried turning it inside out, thinking the dust was locked inside, still looked clean. No dust shook out.
I tried changing at the selected cleaning intervals, from 3 months to monthly. And tried extending to 4 months. No difference.
I compared the size to the standard filter I was using and they matched. The fit wasn’t the problem.
And yes, I made sure the filter was in the correct way.

I really wanted this to work. I believe it’s a good product. Although I wish it had a higher MERV rating. And there may be some variable I’m not accounting for. It’s definitely worth the try.

The quality of the packaging, frame, and filter makes a very good first impression. The filter was a bit tight fitting but will probably stretch over time. The frame design is ingenious and seems sturdy. The little magnetic white board and marker is a good idea too! Hopefully it lasts for a few years.

This filter works great but we learned quickly that it must be changed monthly. We had it in for two months and our entire system shut down. When we investigated we found our furnace coil completely frozen as well as our a/c unit. We were lucky to be able to thaw it out and have it go back to working normally. The filter didn’t look that dirty but it doesn’t take much to completely shut down air flow.

It’s very easy to use and it fits perfect, I put it in the washing machine and dryer and right back on it goes.

Dislike, little expensive

……. time will tell how long this filter will last. The first picture shows the filter after 30 days of use. Second picture was taken after I first washed the filter. Seems like a good product but of course only time will tell how long it lasts before it begins to fall apart.

I am very impressed with the products of this shop, interesting products so I want to shop here, the items are very recommendations and I will definitely offer them to my friends too, I hope this shop can maintain the quality of these goods….!!!!

We just put the filter in our furnace 3 days ago so I really can’t give a review a this time. However it was very easy to put the frame together and then to slide the cover onto the frame. Will update again when we have to wash it.

Just received it. Really easy to put together and insert into furnace. Is sturdy.

So far so good.
